General information only
Everything published on Shrink Pix is shared in good faith, for general information. We don't guarantee it's complete or fully up to date, and anything you decide to do based on it is at your own risk.
About the compression results
JPG and WebP output from the Tool is lossy by nature. How much smaller a file gets, and whether you can spot the difference, depends on the image itself, the quality setting you choose, and how your particular browser encodes it. Any numbers we mention in articles or examples are typical results, not a promise of what you'll get — check your own output before publishing or printing it, and always keep the original file.
Browser and device variation
The Tool relies on features built into your browser. Some older browsers don't support WebP encoding at all, and very large files can struggle on devices without much memory. Results can differ slightly across browsers, operating systems and devices — we can't promise identical output everywhere.
Not professional advice
Our articles on image formats, page speed and related topics are meant to be educational, not professional, legal or business advice tailored to your situation. For anything with real business or legal stakes, talk to someone qualified in that area.
Links to other sites
Where we link out to other websites, we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link here isn't an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
Advertising
This site shows third-party ads, including through Google AdSense. Those networks choose and serve the ads themselves — we don't individually vet each one — so an ad appearing here isn't us vouching for the product. Anything you buy from an advertiser is a transaction between you and them.
Affiliate links
If an article ever includes an affiliate link, it earns us a small commission at no extra cost to you, and we say so directly in that article. An affiliate relationship never changes what we recommend.
