Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 24, 2026
By using Shrink Pix (the "Site") and the browser-based image compressor it provides (the "Tool"), you're agreeing to the terms below. If any of it doesn't work for you, the simplest option is to stop using the Site.
1. Using the Tool
The Tool is free for both personal and commercial use. It should only be used on images you own or otherwise have permission to process — you're the one responsible for the content of any file you run through it.
2. What you agree not to do
- Run material through the Site that's illegal where you are, including anything abusive toward minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Try to disrupt or overload the Site, reverse-engineer it for malicious purposes, or gain unauthorised access to its infrastructure.
- Scrape, frame, resell, or repackage the Site or Tool as your own service without our written permission.
- Block the display of advertising or try to bypass the security measures on the Site.
3. No accounts, nothing stored
There's nothing to sign up for and no files are stored anywhere. Because the compression happens locally in your own browser, we have no way to recover a file, roll back a version, or retrieve anything once you close the tab — keep your own backup of an original before you compress it.
4. Ownership
The design, code, written content and graphics on the Site belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us, and copyright law protects them — please don't copy substantial parts without asking first. You keep every right to the images you compress here; we never hold any licence over them, mainly because we never actually receive them.
5. Uptime
We try to keep the Site available but can't promise uninterrupted access, and reserve the right to change, pause or shut down any part of it — including the Tool itself — without advance notice.
6. Ads and outside links
The Site carries advertising and may link out to other websites. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, the content, products or practices of any advertiser or external site — anything you agree to with them is between you and them.
7. No warranty
The Site and Tool are offered "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind — including that the Tool will meet your particular needs or that its output will be free of visible artefacts.
8. Limits on liability
To whatever extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages — lost data, lost profits, or a lost original image where no backup existed — arising from using or being unable to use the Site.
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover us against claims that come from your own misuse of the Site or breach of these terms.
10. Governing law and updates
These terms follow the law of wherever the Site operator is legally established. We may revise them from time to time — the date at the top of this page moves when we do, and continuing to use the Site means you accept the current version.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can go through our contact page.
